Jason Wu was thrust into the spotlight when a certain well-heeled First Lady chose one of his creations for her Inauguration Ball. But the young designer is hardly the new kid on the block. Since 2006, Wu has been refining his signature take on classic American sportswear, infusing it with his own unique brand of sophistication and worldly glamour.

 It’s a bold new spin on practicality that for Fall took a detour through the City of Lights, offering sporty staples with luxurious baroque accents. Highlights included cashmere sweatshirts with lace trim and anoraks reinvented in satin jewel tones.
