Founded in 1993 in Tokyo, Blue Blue Japan takes its design cues from vintage Japanese workwear, using traditional techniques to reinterpret the classics. Using organic indigo dyes, Blue Blue Japan’s team of highly-skilled artisans makes the lines proprietary fabrics, including fish nets, tie-dyes, yarn-dyed jerseys, and paper-mixed knits. From stretch cotton-twill jeans to printed button-downs and graphic tees, each garment is constructed to develop a unique patina over time, its color aging naturally and fabric gaining a distinct texture.
