1. Storage/Use of Your Data
The protection of your privacy is of utmost importance to us. For this reason, it goes without saying that we strictly adhere to the legal regulations governing data privacy and treat your personal data with the strictest confidence.
Our data privacy and confidentiality practices follow German data privacy laws and are in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act (German abbr. BDSG) and the Telecommunications Act (German abbr. TMG).
We also offer you addition services, for which we require your approval. If at some time in the future you no longer want to receive these services, you can inform us of this at any time. We will immediately delete your data.
- Establishing a customer account, so that in your next purchase you don’t have to enter your name and address again. The next time you visit our shop, just enter your user name and password when you start placing your order. Once you’ve done that, your name and address will be automatically loaded into the order form.
- Subscription to the Newsletter. When you subscribe to our newsletter, you will be regularly informed about new products over e-mail. You can also unsubscribe very easily using an option directly in the newsletter or by sending us a short telephone message.
The confidentiality of your password is also very important to us. If you happen to forget your password, we will send you a new one personally via e-mail. You can then change the password we assigned you to one of your choosing under the “My Account” options.
In the following section, you will earn which of your data we store and for what reasons. Moreover, you can personally contribute to increasing your data privacy by observing the following points:

2. What Data We Store and Why
We use your personal data, such as your name and address, which we request in the process of completing your order with STYLEBOP.com, in order to fulfil the contract and share these to this end with the commissioned service providers, such as shipping companies or our service team. Additionally, your personal data, such as your delivery address, are stored in the "My Account" area, which is protected by your password, so that you do not have to enter them again when you place new orders.
3. Use of Cookies
If you don’t yet know what cookies are, please read the information sheet "Cookies – what are they?" below. In order to use our shopping cart, your browser must be set to allow cookies temporarily!
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- So that you can fill and edit the orders in your shopping cart with during your session.
- So that we recognise you on return visits and are able to enter your desired pre-settings (type of payment and delivery, country of delivery) in your shopping cart.

What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a security technology that insures that your personal data, including credit card information, your login-data and your preferred payment method can be securely transmitted over the internet. The data are encrypted so that they are only readable by the payment system.
What settings are used for encryption?
The encryption protocol used : SSL 3.0 Encryption length: RSA 1024 Bit, RC4 128 Bit
Please note that security certificates with encryption lengths of longer than 1024 Bit are only supported by browser versions starting at 5.x. If an older version is used, then only 512-Bit encryption can be achieved.
Which of your data are transferred with encryption?

Cookies
In our shop, cookies are used to provide smooth functionality for the shopping cart and make your shopping experience pleasant. This assures that the addressee and pre-selection can be properly assigned. When sending and emptying the shopping cart, the cookie automatically deletes the data you entered.
This means that we cannot see which user retrieved which data. The following set of data is stored for each retrieval call:
- Name of the file retrieved
- Date and time of the call
- Amount of data transferred
- Send report, whether the call was successful or not
- Description of the web browser used
- Operating system used.
The IP-address of the computer from which the inquiry was sent is not stored. Personalised user profiles cannot therefore be created. The stored data are only used for the further development of our range of products.
On request you will of course receive information about the data stored about your person or your pseudonym. If you would like to receive this, please send an e-mail to our data privacy officer. The same applies if you wish to delete or correct your data.
What is the 3 D secure procedure?
Did easy credit-card payment for online purchases seem too insecure for you in the past?
STYLEBOP.com offers Visa and Mastercard customers another improvement in their long-tried and and tested security standard. The so-called 3 D Securecode authentication procedure uses a transaction-specific number which can only be generated by your personal Mastercard or Visa in combination with your PIN. Compared to the previous method of payment, the use of this method is enhanced with an additional layer of security. It insures that only you can use this credit card for payment. Talk to your bank and find out if it already supports this procedure.
