Born in England but based currently in Milan, Neil Barrett has created his eponymous line based on minimalist menswear which has garnered international recognition. Having studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, Barrett went on to work as Senior Men’s designer at Gucci for five years. He was then approached by Patrizio Bertelli of Italian fashion Prada, where he later established the menswear line and a blueprint of minimalist fashion that combined high-tech sportswear with luxury fabric and Italian craftsmanship. This formed the foundation of his own clothing label which he established in 1999.
Since branching out into womenswear in 2006, Neil Barrett has amassed a loyal following of A-list celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Kirsten Dunst, Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Kate Hudson. His quirky yet versatile collection comprises tuxedo harem pants with leather waistband, asymmetric mesh dresses, leather flare dresses and peplum leather biker jackets. Providing a modern alternative to men’s tailored garments is a set of wool blend pinstripe trousers, pinstriped wool blend vests and pinstriped blazers.
