KENNETH JAY LANE
Kenneth Jay Lane launched his eponymous jewelry line in 1963 while designing footwear for Dior. A staunch believer in the “glamour is all-year-round” ethos, Lane creates luxe costume pieces that are made to be worn by any woman at any time. Granted, many of the designer’s first clients—Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Diane Vreeland among them—were decidedly bold-faced names who propelled Lane into the spotlight. Today, Lane’s bejweled cocktail pendants, earrings, bracelets, and rings enjoy fans in Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
