London-based jewelry designer Noor Fares launched her namesake line, originally called N.oor, in 2009 after earning a degree in Art History and prior to pursuing postgraduate studies at Central Saint Martins.  An avid traveler brought up between the U.S. and Europe, Fares cites inspiration drawn everywhere from flea markets and souks to her mother’s jewelry box and her aunt’s Paris atelier. Melding an eclectic array of materials, including lapis lazuli, bronze, ebony and diamonds, Fares fashion pieces that often reference charms, talismans and lucky symbols—including the protective eye engraved on the inside of most. A myriad of shapes, including wings, crescents, flowers and cubes comprise an elegant, eclectic collection always imbued with deep meaning.
