Nike

Originally founded by Bill Bowerman, a track and field coach at the University of Orgeon, and Phil Knight, a distance runner-turned-MBA graduate, Nike was established in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports. By 1971, what would soon become one of the world’s best-known sporting goods brands officially changed its name to Nike. Worn by a who’s who of the world’s athletes and tastemakers, including, most famously, Michael Jordan, Nike remains a sought-after streetwear staple and a fashion world-favorite. Using innovative performance technologies and bold, iconic designs, Nike has positioned itself firmly at the locus of style-meets-substance.
